BBC: Iranian soldiers ready to attack Gulf states, US bases,
Report: “380,000 IRGC Members Present in Gulf States”
Coinciding with the start of the countdown to the fall of the regime of Bashar Al-Asad, the clampdown on Iran`s nuclear programme, and the many successes that international sanctions achieved, Tehran began plotting to surround Arabian Gulf states with hundreds of thousands of its soldiers, waiting for zero hour and for higher orders to attack GCC states and US military bases present there, in case the West decided to initiate a military invasion on the Islamic Republic.
In a report covered by Al-Siyasah, the supreme field leadership of the Ahwazi Islamic Sunni Organization stated that Tehran raised the alert state to 380,000 members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps [IRGC] in preparation for any military confrontation with the West in the near future.
Sources from the Ahwazi leadership added that the alert state was raised for 21 IRGC squads , which is the biggest procedure since May 2010. They added that 70 per cent of Iranian military troops are currently present on the borders with Iraq and Arabian Gulf states.
In a rare procedure, the military command of the IRGC provided squad leaders with a booklet on the readiness of its troops within 48 hours. This booklet contained the expression “Leader`s Orders”, which means that orders come directly from Ali Khamenei, supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The Ahwazi organization stated that a high-ranking officer in the IRGC intelligence leaked sensitive information to the organization, affirming that Tehran is ready to engage 11 corps of the army and the IRGC in an all-out war if required. It noted that the troops are twice the number of US and Gulf troops in the region.
Sources added that, since November, Iranian troops have secretly enacted a strategic widespread redeployment and transported vehicles separately from the soldiers who used roads and trains to move to their new posts of service so as to not raise suspicions, especially with western satellites taking pictures. .
According to information received by Al-Siyasah, the movement of units, army corps, and IRGC were seen as follows:
1- Forming a corps north of Ahwaz in Lorestan, which involves the 84th Infantry Squad in Khorramabad, which is one of the most equipped squads in addition to the 65th Brigade or the Special Forces.
2- Forming of a joint corps of IRGC and army in northern Ahwaz that involves the 92nd Squad and the 7th Armoured Division.
3- Moving the 55th Parachute Brigade from Shiraz to Hormozgan located in southern Ahwaz on the Arabian Gulf coasts.
4- Moving the 58th Commando Brigade in Shahrud, known for its chemical and biological capabilities, from the east of Tehran to the IRGC`s Baromi [as received] camp, Rostam Por, east of the capital Ahwaz.
5- Moving two brigades from the army`s 77th Mechanized Squad in Khorasan from the north to Kordestan to join the 25th Mechanized Squad located in the west of Kermanshah and the 28th Infantry Squad in Kordestan on the borders with Iraq.
6- Moving the 71st Brigade of the IRGC`s 42nd military engineering squad from the centre of Iran in Arrak to the base of occupied UAE island of Abu-Musa, in a move that raises questions over Iranian intentions.
7- Moving the 21st Squad from Azerbaijan to Kordestan.
A source pointed out that Tehran began its psychological warfare for some time now and that the goal of this war is to demoralize the “enemy.” Talking about a Third World War is part of this matter.
A source pointed out that the IRGC`s strategy lies in the prolongation of any possible war and its bet on the population element. This strategy also includes halting oil exportation for as long as possible, “which could push the enemy to accept the terms and conditions of the Islamic Republic to end the conflict.”
In addition, the field leadership of the Ahwazi organization spotted indications that revealed Iran`s intentions after the Iranian TV which broadcasts in Ahwaz had declared several times that those carrying end of service papers should urgently visit mobilization centres for the purpose of replacing them with smart cards. Surprisingly, tens of thousands of these papers were booked so their validity has been annulled (ages between 22 and 35 years old). When owners objected, the administrations of the centres reminded them about the terms and conditions of the validity of a document in case of peace only. The validity of a document is considered annulled in case of war, which indicates that the Iranian military command is practically in alert state and that it started to take the people of Ahwaz hostage.
Iran`s local radio stations broadcast, in particular in Ahwaz, patriotic songs and programmes about Iranian military power and its role and operations during the Iraq-Iran war.
Ahwazi leadership warned Gulf forces that there are huge hostile crowds that extend from Sumar in Kordestan to the Strait of Hormuz, indicating that the risk is doubled in Ahwaz; especially if Iran`s troops decided to cross Shatt al-Arab through the Karun canal and military maritime islands of Majnun, which is a direct threat to Kuwait and Iraq.
